Dog training for home may be something you do everyday, but it’s not something you’re working at.  You’re playing.  It’s just that you’re playing by some rules.  And that’s okay, right?  Every game as rules.

Everything you say is something your dog listens to.  Your dog pays attention to the tone of your voice and the words you say.  So when you talk to your dog, you can train your dog.  If you use the same words every time your dog does something you want your dog to do, pretty soon, when your dog hears those words, your dog will do that thing that you want.  Pretty cool trick, huh?  Better than rolling over.

Every move you make, your dog is watching.  Your dog pays attention to body language.  Your dog knows when you’re happy and when you’re not.  Your dog also knows when you’re serious and when you’re not.  When you’re aware that your dog is watching, you’ll know when you need to act serious.  You need to act serious when you’re dog is doing something you don’t want.  Serious, but not mean.  Stay in a loving, but firm posture all the time with your dog and you’ll always be dog training for home.  And you’ll have a dog who is more responsive to dog training.
